Initially conceived as a text to be read aloud at a festival, Programme d’entraînement à l’usage d’une conscience hygiénique (Training Program for a Hygienic Consciousness) gradually revealed itself as the discourse of an artificial intelligence. Realizing that she could not embody this voice herself, Karoline Georges created an entire synthetic apparatus through which the character could exist in its own form: a synthesized voice, a modeled body, original electronic music, and a choreography composed with 3D animation tools.
Across four training capsules, the artificial intelligence addresses humanity and delivers a poetic program intended to improve human consciousness. Its instructions oscillate between benevolent guidance, spiritual exercise, technological optimization, and algorithmic conditioning, treating consciousness as an imperfect system capable of being trained and transformed.
The work marks several foundational moments in Karoline Georges’s practice: her first 3D animation, her first exploration of speech synthesis as a means of embodying a fictional character, and her first complete musical composition. It also represents her return to dance after many years, no longer through the physical body, but through an algorithmically choreographed synthetic one.

D’abord conçu comme un texte destiné à être lu lors d’un festival, Programme d’entraînement à l’usage d’une conscience hygiénique s’est progressivement révélé comme le discours d’une intelligence artificielle. Constatant qu’elle ne pouvait elle-même incarner cette voix, Karoline Georges a créé tout un dispositif synthétique permettant au personnage d’exister dans sa propre forme : une voix de synthèse, un corps modélisé, une musique électronique originale et une chorégraphie composée à l’aide d’outils d’animation 3D.
À travers quatre capsules d’entraînement, l’intelligence artificielle s’adresse à l’humanité et lui livre un programme poétique destiné à améliorer la conscience humaine. Ses instructions oscillent entre accompagnement bienveillant, exercice spirituel, optimisation technologique et conditionnement algorithmique, envisageant la conscience comme un système imparfait susceptible d’être entraîné et transformé.
L’œuvre constitue un moment fondateur dans la pratique de Karoline Georges : sa première animation 3D, sa première exploration de la synthèse vocale comme moyen d’incarner un personnage fictionnel et sa première composition musicale complète. Elle marque également son retour à la danse après plusieurs années, non plus à travers le corps physique, mais à travers un corps synthétique animé par une chorégraphie algorithmique.
